English name: PHOENIX
The Grammy Award-winning French rock band Phoenix.
TATENOKAWA, Inc. and the band released a new project, but this time it isn’t a new record, it is a new sake! This product was produced for Toshiro Kuroda who passed away on February 4th, 2017. He was a great sake expert who devoted good part of his time to introduce sake to the french. Mr. Christian Mazzalai from Phoenix was also inspired by his passion for sake. We appreciate Mr. Kuroda's enlightenment activities for Japanese sake, and we would like to offer our prayers and condolences to him.

Tatenokawa and the band decided to collaborate out of respect and gratitude to Mr. Kuroda who spent many years working hard to promote sake in Europe. Christian says on his social media; “Mr. Kuroda was a great master who taught all the beauties of life which include sake, and is still inspiring us every day.”A portion of sales from the sake will be donated to the Japanese Red Cross Society to support the progression of medical technology.

The Glenlivet Founder’s Reserve is a tribute to our founder George Smith’s vision to define the smooth taste of Speyside Single Malt Scotch whisky. This expression is matured in a selection of traditional oak and American first-fill casks. The selective use of these casks provides a smooth, creamy sweetness that perfectly complements the fruity notes of this whisky. The delicate tones and its exceptionally smooth texture make The Glenlivet Founder’s Reserve the perfect whisky for any occasion.

Product History
The Glenlivet has been distilled for pleasure since 1824. Our founder, George Smith, believed whisky as the ultimate pleasure should be made unhurried, as time and care created the highest quality and flavoursome product. This champagne is a brightly sparkling, light golden yellow liquid with an abundance of fine and elegant bubbles. The nose reveals initial aromas of ripe fresh fruit (white and yellow peaches, apricots), tropical notes (lychee and pineapple). It then opens up with the fragrance of vanilla before developing notes of milky caramel, breadcrumbs and yeast, culminating in aromas of dried fruit and honey. An explosion of freshness in the mouth, followed by strong persistence. The complex aromas of fresh fruit and caramel perpetuate the intensity.

Known for their elegance and sophistication, Martell cognacs are produced with the use of fine grained oak barrels and double distillation of clear wines without sediments that have become the signature of Martell’s fine taste.

When a barrel is called “Red”, a reference to the reddish color of aged wood, it has aged before other eaux-de-vie during at least 2 years up to 8 years, reaching the perfect stage of maturation for both the wood and the spirit.

For Martell VSOP aged in Red Barrels, our cellar master selected only these very rare “red fine grained oak barrels” to age this cognac, highlighting Martell specific ageing style.

The Botanist Islay Dry Gin is an artisanal Islay gin made by Bruichladdich Distillery. It is one of two gins made on Islay, and is distinctive for its addition to the nine customary gin aromatics of a further 22 locally picked wild Islay botanicals. It is these botanicals – and the two local botanists who collect them – that give the product its name.

Originally, Jim Mcewan crated this single malt. In addition, he was a distilling legend. He also presented floral and elegant house style. As a result, it has become our signature bottling.

Jim has now retired but the spirit for this definitive Bruichladdich is still made from 100% Scottish barley, trickle distilled, and then matured for its entire life, on Islay, by the shores of Loch Indaal.

Each vatting of this classic multi-vintage cuvee is now carefully assembled from a suite of individual casks by our Head Distiller Adam Hannett.
